A member asked:

Can gerd or lpr cause lyringits. if yes how can we treat it? if no then what can be the causes and how to treat and stop reoccurring of lyringits?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Laryngitis: Laryngitis can come from gerd. Head of bed elevated, no eating 3 hours before bedtime. Ask doctor about increasing Prilosec dose. Change of diet. Is it postnasal drip? You can have polyps and growths in your larynx too, must be checked by specialist. Tobacco definitely leads to laryngitis. It is like rubbing sandpaper on your larynx.
