Will 70 yrs man with possible mds (not yet diagnosed) have his hb, rbc, hematocrit go up around 5% in a month on its own. if no, cab we rule out mds?

Fluctuation: Hemoglobin may fluctuate and will depend on your volume status as well. For instance, if you have fasting blood work-your level may go up by itself - it does not mean you are making more red blood cell but mainly because your blood is concentrated etc. Go to see hematologist and discuss further. Bone marrow is needed to rule out mds. It is his right to refuse or accept any procedure or therapy.
