Cause???: Lichenoid is a descriptive word used to describe thickening of the skin. The term "lichenoid" can be used to describe skin changes seen during the physical examination of the skin, but is also used to describe skin changes seen under a microscope from a skin biopsy. There are lots of "lichenoid" causes, so you want to see a dermatologist. The most common is "lichen simplex chronicus".

Removal..: Hello, It is important to get to the source of skin lesion. A proper physical exam maybe just enough to diagnose and treat this lesion. A skin biopsy may also be helpful. Pending results an excision maybe possible. But once again the source of the lesion is what matters. Consult a dermatologist or podiatrist for more help. Be well!
