Instep bones: If you have a high arch foot, or high instep, the metatarsal, -cuneiform bones can become irritated, or rub against the the tongue or laces of a shoe. If the joint is hypermobile this can create even more irritation. A precription orthotic can help a great deal inpreventing this mobility of the joint and pain.
