Persistent pain and tenderness can signfy a superficial phlebitis which can be treated with warm compresses. If your legs feel congested wear compression stockings. Your obstetrician can advise you. As for getting rid of varicosities, a vascular surgeon or varicose vein clinic can evaluate and advise you best.
