Max daily dose: Maximum daily dose for metoprolol is 450 mg. Discuss with your doctor possibly adding digoxin which may help.

BP?: The dose of metoprolol is limited by your BP which it also lowers. If your BP can tolerate it, you can go up on the dose. In my own experience, if metoprolol isn't slowing the hr adequately, i change to Nadolol (20-80 mg daily) which is more effective in slowing hr. Digoxin in addition helps both hr and chf.
