Not necessarily: Some breast fed babies have bowel movements every feeding, once or twice a day, or every 5 days. Formula can be somewhat more constipating, causing firmer stools. As long as the stool is soft and your baby is not uncomfortable, it's not a problem. If the stools are hard, or your baby is really fussy, see your doctor.
