A member asked:

My 2 week old daughter has the hiccups after every feeding. she drinks 3 ounces of breast milk or formula per session in a bottle. how can i stop them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not to worry: Hiccups are very common in little babies. This is a reflex of the phrenic nerve that innervates the diaphragm and is triggered by the baby's immaturity to eat and breathe at the same time
