Completely normal: Infants can produce stool few or many times per day. It is very rare for infants to have constipation. With Breastfeeding, it is possible for the baby to utilize all the nutrients in the breastmilk and have little waste. Depending on how much formula you are giving as a supplement after breastfeeding he may not poop daily. 10 day old infants will wake up 3-4 times a night to feed.

Breastfed baby: At 10 days, the stool pattern may not be well established, especially with formula added. Offer the breast (or expressed breastmilk) every 3-4 hours and hold the formula for now. Regular bowel movements, several times a day should result. Your baby should have several wet diapers/day. He should not be losing weight. Good luck! It is tricky at the beginning but you are off to a good start.
