Alopecia Areata: This sounds like it might be alopecia areata, which commonly presents as roundish bald patches in the scalp or other areas. This may be an auto-allergy to your own hair follicles. I'd recommend you see your dermatologist for proper diagnosis and discussion of treatment options. If it is alopecia areata, cortisone creams or properly done cortisone injections can stimulate regrowth of the hair.
