Diffuse pains: Pains that occur all over the body tend to be a result of some systemic disorder. That is, something that affects your entire system, be it hormones, vitamins, nutritional, or neurological. The point tenderness could be a sign of something like fibromyalgia, but would be unusual to get trigger points in the rib region. General medical workup for inflammatory disorders may be in order.
