A member asked:

I've developed an area of numb skin on my thigh i can still feel pressure, that's it. i've also become very ticklish and sensitive/tingly. concerns?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Numb patch: Numb patch on the front of the thigh is usually caused by compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve as it passes under the inguinal ligament. Usual causes are pregnancy, tight belts or clothing and obesity. Other causes are diabetes (rare to be the presenting symptom) and older age.
