Both present risks: Both are nsaia and carry a risk of gastric irritation and bleeding, Aspirin has a shorter half-life and really should be taken every 4-6- hours. Motrin can be taken three times daily with food, although food does not reduce your risk of a gastric bleed. Tylenol (acetaminophen) has a lower risk for GI upset but may not relieve your pain and its maximum dose has recently been lowered to 3 grams daily.
