I'm taking 1 aspirin or ibuprofen almost each day. is this safe?

Are they being taken for concrete reasons (they help with daily pain) or theoretical reasons (you think they help prevent future problems). If it's the latter, discuss with your doctor. No: Can cause stomach ulcers , high BP etc. Recommend not to take 2 nsaids together every day.
