A member asked:

Is suboxone a good alternative to opiates, for managing chronic pain. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can be but...: Check w/your treatment provider. I'm not a physician, but had a rotator cuff tear. Therapeutic massage, specifically trigger-point massage, helped me w/the chronic pain by releasing the scar tissue that forms with injury or surgery. Some people are also helped by seeing a pain psychologist to deal w/chronic pain. Especially at your age, long-term opioid use should be a last resort! good luck!
