Not doomed!: But don't think opiates are the only answer for you. You don't want to get trapped into a life of chronic opioid dependency with all the side effects of constipation, more pain, etc. First see your md to see if your back, knee, and shoulder need diagnosis/treatment. Then get referral to pain specialist: nerve blocks, nsaids, other pain mgmt methods may be much better for you. Good luck!

Speak with your: Pain Doctor. When You say duped do you mean you had a problem and not facing it? Reason I say it is that Suboxone is never used for pain control, its use is for opioid dependence. These are two very different things. Although helpful for pain, it is not FDA approved for pain control at all. If Suboxone is being used for opioid dependence, then I would not recommend going back to opiates.
