Voices and psychosis: Voices may be a symptom of psychosis, but not necessarily. There is no one symptom that absolutely indicates psychosis. There are some non-psychotic conditions where it can happen, and even otherwise normal people sometimes report voices. If you have no other disturbing symptoms and your friends do not see anything of concern then you are probably not psychotic, especially since it was one off.
