Abilify (aripiprazole): Work closely with your prescribing doc. To slowly taper the dose while monitoring for withdrawal symptoms or recurrence of the original symptoms that prompted being prescribed the abilify (aripiprazole).

SUPERVISED TAPER: Always work with your physician whenever you adjust your medication. When tapering your dose it is good to go as slow as possible. The speed of the taper depends on half-life and dose. To taper off 10mg of Abilify (aripiprazole) (generic: aripiprizole), reduce to 5mg for two weeks then discontinue. If there are withdrawal symptoms, go back to 5mg for two weeks then 2mg two weeks, then discontinue.
