Tension headache: This could be a number of things, and the safest thing is to get checked out by a doctor. That being said, in the mean time, have her change pillows, sleeping position, and try neck stretches before bed. It sounds like a tension type headache, but would need more info and physical exam to be sure. However, try those things, as well as gentle massage and see if that helps.
