I keep having sharp pain in the left side of my chest. it's now become every few minutes. please help!

If in doubt: Even tough you are young and odds are you are ok go to er as you would not want to miss a heart attack.

See your doctor : A sharp pains in your chest is not normal. Best to call your doctor immediately, and let her/him know how frequently your chest pain is happening, and whether you need to go to the er or not. With left-sided chest pain, it is important to rule out any heart issues, versus heartburn or gas. This is best done by physical exam.
