A member asked:

What causes something that keeps beating quickly for a few times every now and then in the upper leff chest.exactly 4 cm under collarbone 3 cm to the left side..literally beating like fluttering every few minutes.feels weird?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fluttering: This may simply be an irritable chest wall muscle, but certain cardiac arrhythmias cause a sensation of fluttering(palpitations). If you can feel your pulse and it's perfectly regular during the fluttering sensation it would rule out cardiac arrhythmia as a cause of your symptoms.
