A member asked:

I have pain on my left side of the chest and it started on my lower part of the arm, now its just on my chest, small but feels sharp?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sharp pain: Sharp pains in the chest are most often due to musculoskeletal problems like pinched intercostal nerves or muscles, strain of rib cage muscles, actual rib injury and less commonly from pleurisy, pneumonia or other lung issues. The earlier lower arm symptom may have resulted in rib cage irritation also. If pain persists, see your physician for evaluation and advice.
