Hi doc, i live in south africa, actually my 4 years old son got red n dry skin around the eyes from one week. he always rub his eyes. plz help. thx.

Dry skin: Your child may have an eye allergy which is causing him to rub his eyes.See an eye doctor for help.

Eyelid eczema: Best treatment is tacrolimus ointment .025%. It is prescription.

Hard to Answer: Without an exam. Most probably he has localized skin allergy. Better take him to his pediatrician to have a look and decide. By the time, put some moisturizing lotion on the skin; to reduce itching, give him over the counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine) (25 mg/5ml) 1 1/2 teaspoonful by mouth twice daily. Good luck.
