Local irritation: Apply a cold compress to his eyes and rinse his eyes gently with saline. There may be an allergic reaction. An over the counter pediatric antihistamine may be helpful. Avoid contact with dust, mold, smoke, animal dander and pollen. Please see your pediatrician if there is worsening or no improvement.
