A member asked:

How is possible to have different heart rate in both arms? whats the reasons? left arm 78 bpm, right arm 85 bpm, measurements at the same time.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Impossible: You can only have one heart rate. A palpated pulse in an extremity is reflective of the heart rate, but not exactly the same thing. If there is obstruction to the blood flow in one of your arms, the pulse may be weaker in one arm than the other, but the pulse rate will still be the same. If the measured pulse was different in two extremities at the same time there was a measurement error.
