Just cos i have gum deasie it don't mean i will lose my teeth dose it?

Yes it does: Untreated gum disease is the major cause of tooth loss in adults. If you have active gum disease ask your dentist for a referral to a gum/bone specialist, a periodontist. The sooner you are seen the easier the treatment.

Only if controlled: Gum disease causes loss of teeth. If you do have gum disease, you must control this silent, serious disease that affects your entire body. Oral bacteria invade into blood stream and in return, the blood reaction causes tooth's support to melt away, and the teeth fall out. Make sure your dentist get you a custom care plan, so you can strictly follow it to enjoy overall health for years to come!
