Inflammation: When you don't take care of your teeth, plaque and tartar accumulate on them. These deposits are loaded with bacteria that cause cavities, inflammation and bleeding in your gum tissue, and destroy the bone and supporting structures around your teeth. Go to a dentist and have your teeth scaled clean, then start brushing and flossing regularly. Until then, expect more bleeding.

Inflammation: It means that you haven't been cleaning your teeth properly. So get to it, brush and floss routinely, and see a dentist for evaluation if bleeding continues.
