Inflammation: When you don't take care of your teeth, plaque and tartar accumulate on them. These deposits are loaded with bacteria that cause cavities, inflammation and bleeding in your gum tissue, and destroy the bone and supporting structures around your teeth. Go to a dentist and have your teeth scaled clean, then start brushing and flossing regularly. Until then, expect more bleeding.
