Exercise: A blend of aerobic and anaerobic will benefit you most. Some muscle fibers are more aerobic, some are more anaerobic. Including both will be to your overall benefit.

Ideally both: Remember variety is the spice of life. Aerobic and anaerobic both have different pro's and cons, though both can and will help cardiopulmonary fitness. Completing both types of exercise will help prevent overtraining and provide more balanced benefits. Best of luck.
