Maybe: Depending on the severity off the injury it may not completely heal. Give it a few weeks to heal. If it seems to you that it is getting better then it should eventually heal. If it doesn't improve or worsens then you may have to have it excised. And make sure the specimen gets evaluated by an oral pathologist to make sure that it indeed was just a mucocele.
