Tecta = Pantoprazole: Tecta is a brand of Pantoprazole sold in canada. It is a proton pump inhibitor which shuts down acid production in your stomach thus alleviating gerd, heartburn ; acid reflux symptoms. It sounds like it's done its job although it may take a while for your appetite to return. Be sure to follow up w/your doctor, sooner if any depression, weight loss, difficulty swallowing or return of symptoms.
