Question unclear.: It sounds as if you have been getting episodes of a viral upper respiratory infection. This can create swelling in the back of the throat where the eustacian tube that drains the middle ear exits, and if this is partially or fully obstructed it will create a sensation of congestion and possibly pain in the ear and make it more susceptible to infection.
