A member asked:

Can a tumor rupture artery and cause death from hemoptysis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If the tumor and artery are in the lungs this can happen. The blood can clog the bronchus (air tube) and it can be so much the person literally drowns in their own blood. As gruesome as it sounds, sometimes this is a blessing for someone suffering from lung cancer. It's quick.
