Chf: Coronary artery disease can weaken heart and predispose to congestive heart failure. Shortness of breath edema and blood tinged frothy sputum.

Not likely: Coughing up blood is usually a problem of the lung tissue or gastrointestinal track. Atheroma of the blood vessels is a complication of dietary intake and genetic makeup. While poor heart function as a result of atheroma may cause the lungs to function poorly, bloody coughs are not common. You should see your doctor for this condition as there may be something more serious going on.
