Depends: A left-handed person (leftie) who develops a stroke causing left-sided weakness (hemiplegia) will have a harder time recovering than if he had right hemiplegia. However, in majority of cases people with right sided hemiplegia will also have problems with speech production and language comprehension since the speech control area is on the left brain, the side controlling the right side of the body.
