4 vs 2: Quadriplegia means that all four of a person's limbs are not functioning at full capacity, whereas in hemiplegia, only two are affected.

Quad vs. hemi: Quadriplegia means that all four limbs are affected by whatever neurologic process is happening. In hemiplegia 1/2 of the body is affected, either the right or the left. Hope that helps.
