Alternating hemipleg: Alternating is a very rare genetic disease which causes sudden spells of hemiplegia affecting various sites if the body depending on the severity of the illness coping can be very difficult. The lesser form has a better prognosis than the severe form. Verapamil has helped in some cases. More information can be obtained from the National institute of Health
