A member asked:

Why do i have to have an " endoscopic ultrasound" ?

Many reasons: Endoscopic ultrasound or "eus" is used for many, many indications, including finding out what a mass in the GI system is, taking biopsies, staging for cancer, diagnosing if you have bile duct stones etc. Perhaps if you tell us more information about your medical problem, we can provide a more specific answer.

Endoscopic ultrasoun: It is a great test to look at the pancreas and take sample of any area which is abnormal. You need to request a pancreas expert for that procedure.
