Foot vs. back: Enlarged nerves in between the metatarsal bones (morton's neuroma)can cause the type of symptoms u r experiencing.
Radiculopathy from either central disc or spinal stenosis can cause it as well.
Get evaluated by a neurologist or and orthopedic surgeon is a good start
