No.: A retroverted uterus is a normal anatomical variant. Most uteri are what is called ante-flexed. Some are mid-position, a lesser number are retro-flexed (retroverted). It does not have to do with a splint. Btw, some women with a retro-flexed uterus and menstrual pain will feel it more in the small of their back, rather than in the lower abdomen.
