ER: The er is not the place in which to begin a diagnostic evaluation for a 3 week illness that your doctor is uncertain about. If the doctor is not continuing an investigation to find the cause of these disturbing symptoms then perhaps they can refer to someone more specialized for further assessment. You need a diagnostician, not an er doctor who will simply refer you on.
