What do you recommend if i have a friend that has tooth decay (holes at the top of her teeth). will a dentist put her to sleep for the procedure, and how do they fix it?

Much: There's so much your a dentist can do. General anesthesia usually not required, but it's an option. Very simply the dentist will remove the damaged part of the tooth and replace it with a restorative material. Tell your friend not to wait. Fixing a tooth easier and cheaper than removing and replacing it.

Sedation dentistry: Many people simply are afraid of the dental treatment. Sedation dentistry is used to provide a safe, comfortable relaxing and anxiety-free experience for certain people receiving any dental treatment. Depending on your degree of fear or anxiety, different levels of sedation may be required include IV sedation, oral sedation and general anesthesia. Take care and have a comfortable experience.
