Patterning: A kid who grows up in a household where the adults love sports will likely emulate their parents & want to love sports to fit in. In the same way, when these super role models smoke they give off visual messages that it is cool. Kids forget 90% of what they hear daily but remember 70% of what they see. If they see it often they ignore advise not to smoke & follow the pattern they see.
