A member asked:

What do you suggest if i'm having spects diopter (minus) -1.5; am i eligible for 40% disability certificate for low vision?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably OK: If you wear eyeglasses and see perfectly, then you are not eligibile for disability. Disability measures vision loss by the lowering of the best corrected vision. Since 70% of the population requires eyeglasses, then all of the disability money would be used up by making eligible anyone who needs glasses as the only health defect.
