Viral Illness: If your symptoms have been for short time and recent for the past 2-3 days or so; it might indicate upper respiratory viral infection that do not need other than symptomatic treatment and rest. If your symptoms are intermittent; allergic rhinitis/bronchitis needs to be ruled out.
