Can be symptoms of: Tmj dysfunction and bruxism. Don't overlook this as it is not well known and is being seen more frequently in cases that don't repond to antibiotics for inner ear infections. Splint therapy and Botox treatments may help resolve.

Probably not: Would be very difficult to get salt water solution up eustacian tube and probably uncomfortable. If only present for few days will probably resolve by itself. If present for more than a couple of weeks see ENT, to determine if infection present or just serous effusion
