My specialist says due to solitary kidney and the amount of infections i get i will be on antibiotics for at least two years. is that safe?

Probably yes. Below: Being a female you are more prone to infections. So it is possible you have to be on intermittent antibiotics for a while. Be sure your BP is ok and the antibiotics are not hurtful to your kidneys, etc.
