A member asked:

I've had 3 kidney infections since january is this normal? if not what kind of specialist do i need to see?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Frequent infections: People with recurrent kidney infections (KI) need to be evaluated by a urologist U) to see if they have an obstruction of their urinary outflow tract. A renal ultrasound will be done first. If that does not give the answer of why you have these frequent KI's, other tests will be ordered. Your U can give you the a diagnosis and a treatment plan to prevent your KI's from recurring after a consult.
