No: No, hating the father of your unborn baby is not reason enough to have an abortion. Hate is a very strong emotion. This should not be an emotional decision. Talk to someone you trust. Your physician may be a good resource.

Up to you & doctor: This is a very individual decision between you, potentially the baby's father, and your physician. If considering an abortion out of revenge against the baby's father, you might want to rethink that. However, if you'll be punishing the baby because of his/her father, s/he could be better off adopted by other parents who aren't burdened with these feelings. Please talk with your doctor re options.

Agree with Dr Pappas: Additionally, if you have so much hate for the father that the hate extends to someone who is not even here yet, then you might benefit from a counseling with someone with whom you can discuss and sort through these very powerful feelings. The person you hate is unaffected. The person most affected by feelings like these is the person doing the hating. A counselor can help. Good luck.
