A member asked:

Hi , my father in law recently found out he is positive , he has been to my house before finding out and i have kept my distance with my 5 month old premature baby , is there any reason for me to be concern and go for testing?

Inbox consultation: Your infant may acquire the infection and the baby's immature lung development is one concern. It is best to create a separate living area for your father in law within the house or to have a separate housing situation, including separate bathroom. If symptoms including cough and fever develop, please test all members of your home. An inbox HT consultation is available to review your baby's health

Would it help to tes: You know about your father in law, there are other relatives you may not know about that are around you and your baby with unknown risk. Does it help to test if you are asymptomatic? It helps so you could protect others from being exposed. If you have easy access to testing please do. However the most important thing is to stay healthy and to protect your baby from future exposure. Mask/wash hands
