Yes: Although, the symptoms are 2 weeks old, it could still be a viral infection. If cough continues, i would recommend seeing a pulmonologist (chest doctor). You may very well have a viral bronchitis. Ideal approach is to culture the sputum and rule out a bacterial infection. If the Codeine is not helping, stop it.
